Dylan Pace, Owner

Dylan founded Crestview Roofing in 2000 with a pretty unromantic idea: roofing should be boring. Not the work itself, but the process. You should know the price before anything starts, know who’s showing up, and know you won’t be chasing anyone if a repair fails six months later. Twenty-five years in, he still climbs up on a roof when a job gets complicated, because he’d rather see the problem himself than hear about it secondhand. He’s the one who wrote the 365-Day Done Right Promise into every repair contract, and he’s the one who answers the phone when a customer calls with a concern. If you’ve got a roof issue in Ventura that nobody else can seem to diagnose, ask for Dylan. He’ll tell you straight what it’ll cost, even when the answer is “more than you wanted to hear, and here’s why.”

Mike T., Lead Technician

Mike has been roofing since 2008 and with Crestview for the last nine years. He’s the guy who finds a leak that three other contractors missed, usually because he checks the flashing first instead of guessing. Mike is certified through GAF’s training program and has installed just about every shingle brand we carry, from CertainTeed to Owens Corning to Tamko. He’s particular about underlayment in a way that borders on obsessive, which is exactly what you want in a lead tech when a winter storm rolls through Ventura and every flat roof in Midtown starts leaking at once. When he’s not on a roof, he’s rebuilding a 1972 El Camino in his garage, one panel at a time, and his wife says the car will be done before their kids graduate. The car disagrees.

Rachel S., Senior Installer

Rachel started in roofing at nineteen, spent five years doing concrete tile on new construction around Camarillo and Oxnard, then moved to Crestview because she wanted to work on repairs and replacements where the craftsmanship actually shows. She’s our go-to for tile roof work, which matters a lot in Ventura, where a solid chunk of the houses in the hills and near downtown are Spanish-style with tile that’s been up there since the Reagan administration. Rachel is the one who matches replacement tiles to an old roof so the repair doesn’t look like a patch. She’s also the reason we own a tile saw, a tile cutter, and a growing collection of tile that’s been discontinued for a decade, because she refuses to tell a homeowner “sorry, they don’t make that color anymore.”

Danny O., Service Coordinator

Danny is the first voice you hear when you call (559) 249-4917, and he’s been doing it long enough that he can usually tell from your description whether you’re looking at a minor repair or a full replacement, without ever setting foot on your roof. Before Crestview, he worked in commercial roofing dispatch, which means he has a realistic grip on scheduling and will not promise you a window he can’t keep. Danny coordinates the live trackable arrival times through The Relay Standard, so when the truck is ten minutes out, you know it. He’s also the one who sends the digital invoice by text once the job is done, which he describes as “the least fun part of my job, but the part homeowners seem to like the most.” Danny has a rescue greyhound named Bean who occasionally shows up in the background of his video calls and steals the meeting.

Luis H., Apprentice

Luis is our newest team member and the reason we’re not worried about the next generation of Ventura roofers. He’s been with us for over a year, learning the trade from Mike and Rachel, and he’s already passing his safety certifications faster than anyone expected. You’ll see Luis on most jobs, handling materials, setting up fall protection, and watching the experienced crew like a hawk. He asks a lot of questions, which is exactly what we want in an apprentice. Luis grew up in Ventura and knows the neighborhoods from Avenue to the Keys, which helps when we’re routing jobs. He’s also fluent in Spanish, which comes in handy when we’re explaining a repair to an abuela who wants the full picture before signing anything. We’re putting him through manufacturer training with Owens Corning and Atlas, and by this time next year, he’ll be running his own small repairs.
